One word about Contrastive Analyses! They are great tools for language teachers to make predictions about difficulties their students might encounter while learning a target language. Therefore, what we might do is anticipate addressing those difficulties; in that same respect, we might focus on teaching marked forms since unmarked forms are more likely to be mastered by students without greater difficulties.
